Pepo waliofungiwa duniani ni roho za waliokufa ambao wamefungiwa Ardhini na hawawezi kuondoka mpaka wamalize kazi ambayo haijakamilika. Pepo nyingi waliofungiwa Duniani huwa hawakubali kuwa wamekufa. Wao hutokea kwa sababu maalum: kuvuta nadhari kwa kitu kilichopotea, kurekebisha kitu walichofanya vibaya maishani au kuonyesha lililosababisha kifo chao na baada ya jambo hili kusuluhishwa, roho yao itavuka kwenye mwanga, kwa kawaida kwa usaidizi wa mnong’oneza-mizuka au kaimu (aina ya mpunga-pepo).
Earthbound spirits are souls of the dead that are
confined to the Earth and cannot leave until completing unfinished business. Many earthbound
spirits do not accept that they are dead. They materialize for a specific reason: to
draw attention to something lost, to correct something they did wrong in life
or to show the circumstances of their death, and once this matter has been resolved their soul will cross
over into the light, usually with the help of a ghost-whisperer or medium (a type of exorcist).
