Afrodaiti ni mungu-jike Mgiriki wa upendo, urembo na ngono. Mwenzi wake wa Kirumi ni Venusi. Kulingana na Theogonia ya Hesiodi, alizaliwa kutoka kwa povu ya bahari. Hata hivyo, kulingana na Iliadi ya Homeri, yeye ni binti wa Zeu na Dione. Kulingana na Plato, kuna Afrodaiti mbili: Aphrodite Ourania (Afrodaiti wa Mbingu) na Aphrodite Pandemos (Afrodaiti wa Kawaida). Alama zake ni mhadasi, njiwa na saladi. Katika mitholojia ya Kietruski, yeye hujulikana kama Apru.

Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love, beauty and sex. Her Roman counterpart is Venus. According to Hesiod's Theogony, she was born from sea foam. However, according to Homer's Iliad, she is the daughter of Zeus and Dione. According to Plato, there are two Aphrodites: Aphrodite Ourania (Celestial Aphrodite) and Aphrodite Pandemos (Common Aphrodite). Her symbols are the myrtle, dove and lettuce. In Etruscan mythology she is known as Apru.
