Mtu-samaki (Fishman)
Fish-men are members of a nearly extinct amphibious race that lived during the Devonian age, capable of breathing both in and out of water. They are vulnerable to rotenone and bright light (due to their murky water habitat), have webbed hands with sharp claws and tough scaly greenish-blue skin, that with their combined healing factor allows them to survive wounds which would be fatal to humans, such as gunshots and full immolation. These creatures have a dormant set of lungs, in case their gills become irreparably damaged. 35% of fish-people’s blood is composed of white corpuscles lacking a nucleus.
Kiumbe kutoka Wangwa Mweusi (The Creature from the Black Lagoon)
The
creature from the black lagoon was the last known surviving member of this race of humanoid amphibians. The
gill-man, discovered and named by Dr. Thompson in the 1930s, dwelled in a
lagoon located in a largely-unexplored area of the Amazon Rainforest. Almost
half a century later, the rainforest natives claimed to have seen another
fish-man with large amber-colored dorsal fins inhabiting the murky waters.
